friends
<br>barley is automatically friends with everyone and everything he sets his eyes on, but his friendships are usually one-sided. maybe one lucky someone can change that? they don't even have to like them, if they even look like they're barely tolerating him, he will still love them forever. he's fascinated by cats in particular but he'll honestly shadow anyone who will give him the time of day, including other awakened, and he's not picky about how many "friends" he has either.

enemies
<br>he doesn't hate or even mildly dislike easily, but considering he's a curious and somewhat mischievous fox, he'll probably be prone to accidentally pissing off the occasional clan cat on patrol with his obnoxious enthusiasm and fascination with cat-words, especially if they've never met an awakened before. a rally to drive him out of their territory would be interesting, though there's no guarantee that he'll stay away for very long.

love
<br>it's highly unlikely that he'll actually fall in love with anyone, but he could experience something akin to puppylove for a pretty she-cat? he'd try to bring her gifts like flowers and prey and would definitely follow her around a lot. this could go in tandem with enemies if he tries to break into the camp to see her or something.

<br>barley is still fairly young and his old guardian embers isn't around anymore, so he might be open to a parental figure/mentor. someone to teach him more about the social intricacies of the forest rather than just how to fend for himself. maybe a disgruntled rogue or loner will teach him about avoiding the clans, or maybe the clan cats will try and use him as a sort of guard dog or intimidation device. idk but i'm open to pretty much anything if someone is interested.
